H. Moser & Cie.’s Swiss Icons Watch Controversy
Some people just can’t take a joke.
Yesterday H. Moser posted this year’s installment of their novelty watch they create for SIHH now yearly. It references (no pun intended) a few other major watch companies’ trademark features:
- Rolex Pepsi bezel colors
- Patek Philippe garage door dial + logo
- Girard Perregaux tourbillion bridge
- Voutilainen hands
- Audemars Piguet bezel shape
- Hublot Case
- Panerai type and crown guard
Today Moser posts this on their Instagram:
This is truly sad. These huge companies clearly have a problem with someone having fun “at their expense” even though quite a bit of money would have gone to a good cause. It’s supposed to counterbalance their annoyance. Everyone makes out. Everyone has a good time. Someone ends up with a cool watch. I’d like to know which if the big companies whined to H. Moser.
